ScriptureflowPrivacy Policy

The short version

Scriptureflow doesn't collect your personal data. There's no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you put into the app stays on your devices.

Who we are

Scriptureflow is made by [Your name or studio] (“we”, “us”). If you have any question about this policy, contact us at [contact email].

What the app stores — and where

Scriptureflow stores the following only on your iPhone and Apple Watch:

  • the verses you add, and the collections you create;
  • your review history and schedule (when you reviewed, how it went, your recitation accuracy);
  • your reading plans and reading position;
  • your prayer journal entries;
  • your settings (translation, reading theme, voice, reminder times, rest day).

We don't have a server, so we never receive any of it. We can't see it, sell it, or share it.

Your data is included in your device's own backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have those turned on — those backups are managed by Apple and by you, not by us. Deleting the app deletes its data from that device.

What the app does not do

  • No account or sign-in.
  • No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools from us or any third party.
  • No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
  • No selling or sharing of data with anyone.
  • No location access.

Microphone and speech recognition

When you choose to recite a verse out loud, Scriptureflow asks for permission to use the microphone and Apple's speech recognition. Your speech is turned into text so the app can compare it with the verse.

  • Recognition runs on your device wherever your iPhone supports on-device recognition for the language you're reciting in.
  • If your device doesn't support on-device recognition for that language, iOS may send the audio to Apple's speech recognition service to transcribe it. That processing is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us.
  • Scriptureflow never records or saves your audio, and the transcript is discarded once the verse is scored.

You can say no, or turn access off later in Settings › Privacy & Security, and type or handwrite your recitation instead.

Handwriting

If you write a verse by hand, your writing is read by Apple's text-recognition technology on your device. The drawing isn't saved.

Voices

Verses and chapters are read aloud with the voices built into iOS, on your device.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, Scriptureflow schedules local notifications on your iPhone — for example, how many verses are due or today's reading. They're created on your device; nothing is sent to us or to a push service.

Widgets, Apple Watch, Siri and Shortcuts

  • Widgets read your verses from storage shared between the app and its widgets on your iPhone.
  • Your Apple Watch and iPhone exchange your verses and reviews directly with each other.
  • If you use Siri or Shortcuts with Scriptureflow, your request is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; Scriptureflow answers it on your device.

Sharing

When you share a verse as an image, the image is created on your device and goes only where you send it.

Children

Scriptureflow is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Because we don't collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. You're in full control on your device: you can edit or delete any verse, journal entry or plan in the app, or delete the app to remove everything. If you live in a region with data-protection laws (such as the GDPR or CCPA) and have a question, contact us — we're happy to help.

Our website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers. Its fonts and scripts are served from this site, not from third-party services. [If your host keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security, say so here, e.g.: “Our hosting provider, [host], keeps standard server logs for up to [n] days for security purposes.”]

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change would ever involve collecting data, we'd say so in the app before it happens.
